Dave Jackson - Head of Learning and Development
Dave has over 8 years experience working within the training industry. He has gained an in-depth knowledge of learning and development in a variety of sectors including finance, energy & logistics. Previous to his training career he has worked as an account manager in sales, a recruitment consultant and cinema manager. The experience of working in large multinational organisations has seen him working all over Great Britain and has given him a well balanced view of industry as a whole. This has resulted in giving him the ability to seemingly cross differing sectors with ease and efficiency.
Dave spent six years in financial services training, specialising in communication skills and face-to-face based learning. Whilst working at Egg™, Dave project managed a balance retention programme that focussed on in-depth quality conversations with customers on how they managed their money. Over three months this project retained £1.6m in balances that would have been lost to the bank.
His time at Alliance & Leicester (A&L) saw Dave delivering customer service, soft skills and sales training to all telephone and face-to-face employees. This ranged from contact centre telephone operatives to regional branch managers. The Santander acquisition of A&L saw him working across Abbey, Bradford & Bingley and Alliance & Leicester.
As an NLP Master he uses the latest techniques in communication to reinforce learning, ensuring that the information is retained and embedded. Using a range of skills, techniques and enthusiasm, Dave delivers high energy training session that motivates delegates.
In late 2009 Dave joined Associated Training and Consultancy as a learning and development consultant mainly focusing on selling skills, customer care and management development based training solutions.
Since joining the team, Dave has delivered bespoke leadership development programmes to Tarmac, H M Prison Service and an African International Banking consortium in Dubai.
He is married with two young children. In the little spare time he has, Dave enjoys his football and has taken to running. In August 2009 he completed his first Warriors run which is up, over and down a mountain for 10 miles. Through his studies he has developed a healthy appetite for hypnosis and has worked with family and friends for phobia cures, sleep deprivation and weight management.
