Planning and Managing Change

This course is intended for anyone that has an element of 'change' involved in their work role. The design of the course has put the best of managers and change agents through their paces, and been a work/life altering experience.

In this course you'll actively construct an authentically simulated change programme rather than cram for an exam. This serves as a great opportunity to apply the theory and experience change first hand, and do it how you know it should be done.

This 2-day workshop is an accredited programme by the ILM. This has several benefits to you: it means the material you're learning has been passed by ILM standards, and provides a mechanism to underpin what you receive on the courses, which will be easily transferred into practical application. It means that you're part way towards an ILM level 3 qualification (speak to your trainer for more details), and it means that you've decided to learn with an ILM approved and accredited training provider.


Course Objectives

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Identify reasons which prompt change
  • Identify and plan activities, resources and timescales to achieve change
  • Plan communication and involvement to facilitate effective change
  • Explain the consequences for organisations of change or maintaining the status quo
  • State the human and financial implications for the organisation, teams and individuals
  • Recognise ways of managing people through the 5 stages of change
